Introduction
The Anton/Bauer Salt-E Dog is a ground breaking 9KWh capacity portable Sodium Sustainable Power Supply which can provide 6000W of pure sine wave output across multiple AC outputs. In addition to this there is a range of DC outputs making this the ideal solution for powering lights, cameras, video villages and can be used by craft, talent, catering and all other teams on a production.
The 9kWh Salt-E Dog has a built in internal charger and can be charged from mains via an IEC connector, powerCON® TRUE1 or CEEform (UK / EU). These multiple input charging options allows for maximum flexibility when being used out in a variety of locations. Recharge times offer flexibility as the unit can be recharged as below, once warm up has been achieved:
0~20% is circa 1 hour 10 minutes
0~40% is circa 2 hours 30 minutes
0~60% is circa 4 hours 10 minutes
0~80% is circa 6 hours 15 minutes
0~100% is circa 10 hours.
The Salt-E Dog is designed for the modern motion picture and television industry, which is reflected in the numerous AC and DC output options available to the user. The AC outputs are specific to the regions in which they're used. For the US market, there are four NEMA 5-20R receptacles and one Bates/Stage receptacle. For the UK market, there are four Type G receptacles and one CEEform 2P+E 6h receptacle. Lastly for the EU market, there are four Type F (Schuko) receptacles and one CEEform 2P+E 6h receptacle.
All of the AC outlets benefit from a pure sine wave output that ensures highly sensitive equipment, lights, and audio for example will not suffer any performance issues or damage. The DC outputs are the same across the models regardless of their region. These outputs consist of four XLR3 connectors regulated to 28V, four XLR3 connectors regulated to 48V, and two USB-C Power Delivery receptacles.These DC outputs enable a multitude of lights, cameras and other equipment to be connected directly which can result in the removal of power supplies and all the cabling associated with them.
